i have a 42" tv i have connected to my 4850 via HDMI so get audio as well. if i got another 2 of them and a 5870 and all 3 were connected via HDMI - what would happen with the sound? would all 3 get audio out or just the central one?

i'm trying to figure out basically what kind of setup to have around jan time when i buy a new card.

at the mo i have 2 PCs, a dell 3007wfp monitor, an old 21" trinitron monitor that's not connected to anything and a 42" LCD TV. i figure, get another 2 42" LCDs and have them connected to 1 PC with a 5870 for gaming etc and the other connected to the dell (i'd leave the trinitron as a spare i think).

sound alright? i'd have to get 2 more mirai TVs i think due to the shape to make sure all 3 are uniform

doubt it would sound right, would be better getting a dedicated sound card and sound system, would make the experience so much better. especially 5.1!

really? why?

duran, i do have a set of 7.1 speaker but can't be arsed using em since i connected to my tv via hdmi

You wouldn't want stereo sound from three different sources it would sound terrible. If it only outputs to one source, great, if it outputs to all three, well, that's what volume controls are for :D

I have to agree with the above though, I assume you have an inbuilt soundcard in which case you should use that for at least 2 speakers, they'll probably be better than the ones in your TV, better yet get a cheap AV amp and use hifi speakers.

it's a possibility in the future, but 1st i'd need to get everything else in order.

i just imagined what it would be like to have 3 tvs for that immersive feeling - OMG - it would be huge. now i can't figure out where to put the 30" dell
