Eyefinity and Women

I wanted to play BF3 like a boss. So I bought an extra 6950 and 2 more monitors. The Mrs moaned like crazy.

Got a bit fed up with it really. The support in games is pretty poor. BF3 needs so much work to get it there and MW3 needs a hack - but ends up being better (in eyefinity) than BF3.

Sooo... I've given one of my monitors to my son, for his new Llano build. To replace the shonky little 17inch TFT he had handed down.

And guess what. The Mrs is moaning that my desk now "doesn't look symmetrical" and that she liked the 3 monitor layout!!!!

Eyefinity support was fixed for bf3 in todays patch. So snag the screen back and give it a try.

Was so close to going eyefinity, but this is the sort of thing that put me off.

Is bad enough having to deal with crossfire having to drive a single 2560x1440 screen, that I could only imagine 3 screens driving me mental with issues.

Had 3x1080p 22" screens for eyefinity but now have a 2560x1600 which suits me better tbh, the 3 kids are happy now though And I have a few 17" lcds in the attic as spares now lol.

The Missus has condoned my choice, but if I told her what the 30" Dell cost she would no doubt very quickly prefer the 3x1080p setup

Dude you need to put your foot down, if my mrs tells me anything about my setup I tell her she has no idea what the hell she is talking about and therefore the best course of action is to say nothing at all.

Its the equivalent of me trying to moan at her about handbags. For what its worth eyefinity works great in the types of games I play which are mostly racing and rts.
