Eyefinity disabling

Is there any sort of software that will disable eyefinity in certain conditions?

When playing games i'm typically fine leaving eyefinity on and setting up say windowed and leaving it at that, some games don't offer support for this though and results in 3 screens mirroring which is rather annoying

So would be nice to have software that say detects thisgame.exe and disables eyefinity and drops you back to the center screen, once thisgame.exe is closed then eyefinity is re-enabled and back to the settings it had

Anyone know anything to help? :p

You're best off turning eyefinity off for desktop use. Extended desktop is so much better than eyefinity when on the desktop anyway.

You can set up a profile with a hotkey to invoke eyefinity before you launch a game.

Prefer eyefinity over extended desktop, although thats more of a personal preference thing than anything surely?

Mm, setting up 2 presets in CCC would that effect desktop? I remember going between eyefinity and normal a while back would screw about with desktop icons (I have quite a few.. :p )

Kinda, eyefinity on the desktop is not very practical though because it's considered one large screen.

Anything you maximise will maximise on all screens, and it pretty much defeats the object of having 3 seperate screens in the desktop environment.

Oh also, ewwwww desktop icons.

I prefer having ability to maximise over 1 screen :p

I've got games/voip clients on center screen (saves having to find it on steam or having to start > search) and other screens have folders and apps for different stuff :p but I have it nicely laid out so i know what's where, but i remember when my eyefinity used to disable (say ccc/driver updates) the icons would go everywhere so hope that doesn't happen with disabling eyefinity.

I know that with 1 card it does mirror all screens and for some reason with crossfire it doesn't.

on the AMD Eyefinity multi-display options the "set preferred display" should do the job, but it only does with crossfire.

Two options to do a quick switch between Eyefinity and Extended:

- Press Windows and P, select Duplicate - set up Eyefinity. Press Windows + P, select Extended, set up your Extended desktop setup. Now just use Windows + P to quickly move from one big screen to 3 separates and back.

- If the above doesn't work (I switch from 4 separates to 1 big screen & 1 little one, so this doesn't work for me) then you'll have to set up Presets in CCC. Get your setup as you want it one way, save a preset, set it up the other, save a preset. Now either use hotkeys, start menu shortcuts or pin CCC to the taskbar and use the jump list to move between the two. I've found I need to select the option twice for it to correctly arrange all the screens (So from my 3+1 Eyefinity setup, I select Extended Preset to have 4 separates with 1 in the wrong place, then select Extended Preset again to get them all in the correct places).

There isn't too many to take up a single monitor as they all go onto one monitor when changing :p however they're positioned about (most on middle monitor, a few on right), changing between it seems to throw them all on the left monitor in no particular order.

As mentioned, you can make separate eyefinity and extended mode presets with catalyst, link them to a hotkey and change at will.

On top of that, you can use RadeonPro (the old version or the current beta), and set it to change to eyefinity when loading specific games or other programs, and switch off eyefinity when you close that program.
