Just out of intrest, does FPS drop when using three monitors for eyefinity?.. Some games drop serious FPS when u go from 1280 to 1900x1200 let alone 5000 or what ever it is :/ Would crossfire be a MUST for settings in a game running eyefinity?.. or am i being a n00b?:P

Depends on the games and the cards.

But generally for Eyefinity 2 58xx cores in CrossfireX is extremely advisable. Certainly if you plan to play your games on very high settings anyway.

What games?

MW2 - 5760x1080 - 0xAA = 85-91 FPS
MW2 - 5760x1080 - 4xAA = ~60 FPS
AVP - No Tess + Low AA = 45-60 FPS

If you're willing to drop settings a little you can get away with one card :) for me, as soon as I've got the cash I'll be adding another 5870 :D

FPS is a matter of preference really. I like to get 60FPS V-Sync'd at all times. I start at max and lower settings until I achieve that moreorless. If it's 60FPS solid except in extreme circumstances, that's fine by me though. But I like to have 1920x1080 4xAA with V-Sync enabled no matter what.
