Eyefinity - how to turn it on/off in Crimson?

I've just upgraded from Catalyst to Crimson. Previous versions of Crimson seemed to be a bit flaky detecting my 3 monitor set up.

The latest version seems to work fine - to a point.

It detects all of my 3 monitors, and lets me set up a working Eyefinity display via the advanced settings.

But I can't find a simple way to turn it off (and then back on again)

I only use Eyefinity for gaming and I like to revert back to my three separate monitors for general use. But the only option I get in Crimson is to Discard the display group, which means I have to start again from scratch setting up my monitors - detecting them, extending the display to them etc...

Am I missing something obvious?

You can make two presets in advanced options and it used to have some keys/combo that would work to quickly switch between the modes, however AMD in all its wisdom decided to remove them. So in this case, you can have that window open and just click between those 2 options/presets: Normal and Eyefinity (or more options/set ups).

Alternatively, you can select for each game in its profile to start in Eyefinity. Again, AMD in all its wisdom didn't put a general option so you can just click it to start ALL games in Eyefinity, so you have to do it by hand.

Not sure who designs and test this changes, but it sure looks like they're pretty ... "soft core" users.

My weird setup isn't recognised by Crimson (I have 3 screens on my 290, then the fourth screen on my Intel onboard) and it just tells me "A display group could not be created using Quick Setup. Try Advanced Setup instead.". Clicking Advanced Setup gives me the old CCC options to enable it (and later disable it). I simply pinned this to the Taskbar, and now bypass Crimson by just clicking on this shortcut then clicking to enable/disable Eyefinity each time I need to switch between screen setup.

I do look forward to the day when setting Eyefinity on/off automatically for games works for me in Crimson - it's a really nice idea and would be perfect for how I use my PC.

Thank you for the tip, Stu! Creating what presets you want, then pin the Advanced Settings to Taskbar and by right clicking on the icon, you can quickly select between saved Presets.

Thanks for the help so far, but I'm still confused.

How do you create presets in Crimson?

I'll need a step by step walk-through as I've been looking through the Crimson interface and I can't figure it out...
