Hi,
I am looking to upgrade to an eyefinity tripple monitor setup, but I am having problems finding suitable monitors with a display port. I would like the monitors to be no bigger than 22" and have a small a bezel as possible.

The nearest I can find is this:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-143-SA&groupid=17&catid=1779&subcat=
which looks to be a very nice setup but these monitors are 23" and a bit out of my price range with them being a bundle including the tripple monitor stand.

Any suggestions?

hi,
I think you can use any 3 monitors of the same resolution . Then just buy an active display adaptor for the 3rd and away you go.
what graphics card do u have ?

yes I have just found another thread showing an adaptor but its a vga adaptor will I not loose quality using vga rather than dvi?

At the moment I have A Nvidia GTX 285 with 2 samsung p2250 monitors. So I do need a new graphics card aswell.

The cheapest option would be to buy another p2250 wih the adaptor and an eyefinity compatable card, but the bezel on the p2250 is huge with a clear bit around the edge.

If I go down the buying an adaptor route can anyone suggest a 22" monitor with a small bezel?

The display port connecti nis not vitally essential for Eyefinity setup. I am running 3 x Benq 24" LED backlit monitors here connected with DVI on 2 and a displayport>VGA adaptor on the third. You cannot tell that the 3rd is connected on a VGA connection.

From looking at the selection on OCUK, i would go for either 3 of these or for these which are the little brothers of what i have. They are slightly smaller than the 22" you were after (21.5")

Do not get too hung up on the bezels either. I know there are a lot of people on here who slate and slam the bezel issue with multi monitoring, but once you have it set up, the wonder that is the human brain, compensates and you dont really notice it.

Eyefinity is one of the best 'upgrades' I have done in ages. EVE is better to play as can have lots of windows open, so never miss a neut in chat now and also driving / flying you get an amazing increase in peripheral vision and perspective. Very handy to see opposing cars appear in your side windows.

Depends how you rate 'better' I suppose.

If you do a straight side by side comparison of the stats, then the Benq will be better on contrast ratio (is LED backlit) and weight side, but the Sammy is brighter with a faster response time.

If you are happy with the image you are getting off your two sammy's, then i would say go for a third one. You arent guarenteed an identical picture to the two you have now in coulr and brightness as no two panels are identical, but should be closer and you also have the uniformity of three identical monitors.
