Hi guys

Just looking for some help.

I currently have 1 BenQ GL2450 24inch monitor that is just connected through DVI,im awaiting delivery of 2 more that should be here next week,i had a look on the AMD website but then saw conflicting advice on another website in regards to how to best connect these up.

I have 2 MSI 280x in crossfire and im looking to use the 3*1 landscape layout.

I thought i could just use 2 dvi's on the first card and one on the second?but then i saw that i need to use at least one display port,is this correct?,if someone has a similar setup and could advise me to which cables etc id be very gratefull.!

You do need to have one monitor using display port as this provides the timing as far as I could tell when researching my set up. You could probably get an adaptor but it would need to be an active adaptor I think, but someone with more knowledge should be able to tell you more.

I've found it won't work on mine just using DVIs. My set up (7850) needs displayport. Similarly when I crossfired 2 7850s, it needed displayport.

I use an XFX one. They're only about £15 and work fine.

yep you need to use at least one DP mate, if your monitor doesn't have a DP input you will need to get an active DP to DVI cable mate. You can get them cheap, but from my research into Eyefinity they don't last long.

I was looking into it a couple of moths ago, and ended up just buying 3 matching screens with DP to save the headaches.

Yeah same as me, it was just a lot simpler!
