Started trying out eyefinity on my sapphire 6870 flex today. There is so many options! I'm sticking with using 3 monitors for now as this flex edition card supports 3 without any adapters unlike standard ones which require display port adapters.
The thing is, I don't have 3 of the same size monitors. I have
1x 1440x900
1x 1280x1024
2x 1680x1050
1x 1920x1080
Eyefinity is capped at the resolution of the lowest monitor so if I use the 1280x1024 I won't get full resolution on any of the other monitors so its slightly blurry. Having eyefinity enabled increased the idle temerpature of the card from low 30's to low-mid 40's while using default fan speed (33 percent) These are the eyefinity resolutions I have tried so far
3840x1024
5040x1050
and my favourite
3072x1280
What an odd resolution you must be thinking, achieved this by having my 3 monitors rotated. It's actually really good to use, not too wide for your field of view like regular eyefinity. Heres two screenshots of it.
