Hi guys,

As the title says my cousin is having some issues with Eyefinity. One of the monitors isn't displaying at 1080p, all of the monitors are the same and I've got no idea what to suggest to him, it's connected by HDMI (This monitor in particular)

Any ideas?

Is the HDMI to miniDP using an active (powered) adapter?

One would probably have cost something like £25, a passive adapter should have been a fair bit cheaper.

Has he tried swapping the monitors/connections around to see what happens?

Tried a different HDMI cable?

I thought with Eyefinity all the monitors had to run at the same resolution.

If that's the case I'm not sure how one screen could be running at a different resolution than the others.

Ah, I rang my cousin up to explain and he said that the problem is that the screen has black borders around it and is blurry. I had this problem before so I told him what to do " Go into CCC and turn down the scaling option " but according to him once he presses apply and closes CCC the borders come straight back?

Sorry for being misleading then, I don't think he explained it very well lol.

So it's presumably working at 1080p but the monitor isn't displaying it correctly.

Find the picture options in the monitor menu and try it set to 16:9 or Screen Fit.

I've told him to do what you said, I'll edit this post once he's done that.

*edit* He's done that and the resolution is fine, I'm adamant it's the scaling option, he can slide it across to 0% to fix the problem but when he hits apply and closes that window it just reverts, might be a bug of some sort?

Problem solved - found out he had some software to manage these screens that was affecting CCC so once removed the problems were solved.

Thank you Surveyor I really appreciate it :)
