I've decided that I want to upgrade from my current lg w2363d, but I've been wanting to upgrade the resolution a bit from my current single 1080p setup and I've managed to narrow my options down to two (I think)

The first option is to get either three of these:

Or get three of these:

I like the idea of having three nice ips panel monitors, but I'm worried that 60hz and higher input lag when compared to my current 120hz w2363d.

My other option is to get one of the acer 4k2k monitors even though I won't be able to use the gsync features with my r9 290x

I need some opinions on what I should get :)

From the reviews that I've seen, the Samsung has had a few problems, and I'd like it to have a VESA mount on it too which the acer has, I also like the idea of being able to have gsync capabilities if I decide to swap my 290x out for an nvidia card :)

I'd love to get the rog swift but its too much for me to pay for a single monitor

How about the 29" or 34" LG widescreens?

I was considering one of those, but I wasn't sure about how it'd look with 16:9 content? I thought the 29" would look like a 23", but the 34" models are quite a lot :(

I've been running Eyefinity for a few years now and absolutely love it. It's great for gaming as your entire vision is filled by the game, and it's a real wow factor when people see your PC.

But, I am currently very tempted to ditch the three and get a single 4k monitor. Why? Simply because of lack of game support. When a game works on 3 monitors, it's epic (Just Cause 2, Sleeping Dogs, Sniper Elite V2, Burnout Paradise, Half Life/L4D/Portal, Goat Simulator, Titanfall excluding the HUD). The problem I have is with the sheer number of AAA developers/publishers who feel it's fine to release games even now that don't support more then one monitor (any Call of Duty game, Watch Dogs, Wolfenstein, Titanfall's HUD). I know there are a couple of wonderful people who produces fixes and workarounds where they can, such as Flawless Widescreen or Widescreen Fixer, but there are often still issues around menus, cutscenes, or HUDs.

I love my Eyefinity setup, and several of my family members have now got 3 screens after playing on mine, but with 4K now down to reasonable prices and the developers and manufacturers seeming to get behind it better than most ever did with Eyefinity/Surround - I would say currently the best option is to get a single 4K monitor.

Tbh I never thought about game support with three monitors, so that is another thing to consider

It would annoy me a little to be swapping between three monitors and a single one just to play different games

Anyone know of any similarly priced 24" va panel monitors? They seem to be a bit of a medium between ips and tn to me :)

I'm trying to decide whether the increase in res etc from a 29" lg to a 34" lg is worth the increase in price from £260 to £500

Has anyone went from a 120hz+ monitor to one of the ultra wide ones? Just trying to see whether I'd notice the input lag or the refresh rate drop
