Hey all.

I have a 6950 2GB which I unlocked.

I have the rig in my sig and I am very tempted with another U2412M monitor that is on TWO.

Question: Will the performance be OK on BF3 with 3 monitors and a single 6950? I realise I would need to turn the settings down.

Very roughly, according to:

You should get around 60FPS at 1080p. So I'm guessing 3x1080p ~ 20FPS and that's on high, so turning settings down you get it to run okay I should have thought!

That's a 6970 which your card is kind of, in a roundabout fashion lol *edit* just spotted that's in Xfire so 2 6970s!

In the description he says that it's playable on high at 40fps. That video was done on medium settings. He does have an i7 CPU but i thought it might give you a rough idea fella :)

I have CF 6950's, and I'm happy with the performance, but it can vary from 20-40fps in demanding games at 6000x1200. I tend to try to keep settings as high as posisble, turning down only the most demanding when necessary.

So, I suspect you'll be able to run games okay with a single CF as long as you are willing to accept medium-high settings and low-ish frame rates, or medium settings and higher frame rates.

People do game in eyefinity with a single 5850 and 5870, and say despite turning down graphic settings, the experience is better than a single monitor. So it's worth a try, and you can always send the extra monitor back under DSR if you test it quickly.
