right realisticly I have no need for eyefinity and if I get it at any point then it iwll be purely for boasting reasons.

however there are some things im wondering so im going to ask some questions globally as they might be useul for other people.

can a single eyefinity 6 edition graphics card power 6 screens with good rates?- i cant help feeling youd get low fps with that high a resoluotion.

Can you use a eyefinity edition graphics card in conjunction with and no eyefinity card?- for example if you bought one of the samsung 6x screens the load would be quite large so would it be posible to put a(or a few) standard 5870 with a 5870 eyefinity 6 edition graphics card in xfire inorder to get your extra screen ports and get reasonable performance still.

are any other companies going to come out with ultra thin beazel monitors any time soon?- the samsung ones are expencive bearing in mind you can buy a 23' screen with better response time and contrast for allot less then the eyefinity setups would be per screen just with thicker beazels.

will they be bringing out a 5970 eyefinity 6 edition?

obviously if you have and opinion of these questions or any answers or even any more questions if they all get posted in this thread then we can keep a good fact base. I havnt checked if there is another thread like this but i will try to update this thread as much as posible

thanks

to play games at 5760x1200 at good rates you require tri-fire mate

so no a single gpu will NOT handle 6 monitors. it will struggle with three.

thats why i have a 5970 and a 5850.

oh i c

yeh i was sort of thinking that one card wouldnt be able to handle all those pixels. i though there was issue with using uneaven cards in xfire. I was under the impression that you needed card of the same model and frequency
