eyefinity quick question...

3 x monitors with HDMI inputs
2 x HD7950s with 2 x mini-dp, 1 x hdmi, 1 x DVI outputs on

am i right in thinking that so long as one monitor has a mini-dp to hdmi adaptor it doesn't matter what else i use in order to use eyefinity?

I assume it's still the case that you must use a display port output in an eyefinity setup, but do i need to use dp + hdmi + dvi or does it not matter if i was to use both displayport outputs to hdmi adaptors for example?

I was thinking of getting two minidp to hdmi adaptors and a 3 hdmi cables and not using the dvi output, would that work?

You're right. It's absolutely fine to use both displayports and only one of the others if you want.

Be careful to get active mini-DP to HDMI adaptors, they are £15-20 each.

Yep thats fine, i ran eyefinity with all monitors conected by hdmi, i used one hdmi cable, one dvi to hdmi cable then a active mini dp to dvi adaptor and used another dvi to hdmi on that also

Thank you guys, going to get a an active minidp to dvi then a dvi to hdmi cable, definitely seems easier than hunting down an active minidp to hdmi lead
