Hi all

I am looking at getting a new video card to go for Eyefinity. My current setup is: 22" monitor with extended desktop to an HDMI projector that is used exclusively for blu rays.

Now, my plan is to sell the 22" monitor and replaced it with 3x 24" ones; however I still need to have the HDMI projector plugged in somehow.

Any suggestions? I would really rather not have to stay unplugging one of the 24" every time I want to watch a movie!!

The HDMI port is linked to the DVI and it's a one or the other. Instead of providing an adapter they provide two connections on the card in a one or the other therefore I cannot use that :(

The HDMI is shared with one of the DVI's though so if the DVI is in use the HDMI can't be used :(

You would need another graphics card if that is possible?

That's what I'm trying to figure it... but PCI-E 1x cards with HDCP are VERY hard to find that's why I'm trying to see if someone has come up with a better solution :)

Here is something to look at but I have no idea how/if it works... A USB to VGA adapter? Just read it turns a USB 2.0 port into a VGA ouput.

Just not sure if this kills your other outputs etc :)

The problem with that is HDCP; I'd rather output HDMI than VGA to my projector but thanks for the suggestions.

That is OK and I could use that I guess so thanks for the suggestion.

Do you know if I can use another ATi card though just for the other monitor? Maybe using crossfire?

Any other card will be fine, no need for it to be crossfire or even ATi, infact I don't think eyefinity and crossfire work togehter yet (though it does work on the 5970 so its at least possible).

So I could install two ATi cards at the same time? Cause I currently have an ATi 4670 passive that I could use for that and it is a great card would love to be able to keep it to run the projector.
