Ok, I posted earlier today re: my existing GFX card, but as it happens I've changed my direction completely and heading towards an EyeFinity setup.
I've always tended to use Nvidia cards, so because of this I really don't know much about ATI, so would appreciate some advice.
Plan is this:
3 x Dell 2405 FPW monitors side by side running an EyeFinity setup.
I play mostly FPS games such as BF2, L4D, Borderlands etc as well as a bit of Eve Online now and again.
Will an ATI HD 5800 series card carry enough power to run these games at acceptable frame rates?
I can't really afford a 5900 series card at the moment (or in the foreseeable future!)
My CPU is a Intel Q6600 running at approx 3.5ghz, and my current card is a Nvidia 9800 GX2 and I play BF2, L4D, Borderlands, Fear etc all with everything pretty much set to high, and I'd like to keep it this way!
Any advice on if I can get away with a 5850 or something around the £200-£250 mark?
Cheers all.
