ok guys so i play a lot of racing games and just got my g27 and was wondering about eyefinty, would my screen be decent enough for the setup if i got another 2 of the same screen i have is the dell st2410 at 1920x1080

Yes. You need an active display port adapter though from what I understand... I'm determined to find alternatives though as £70 for a product costing a few £ is a cheat!

You could always try the apple displayport adapter and a mini DP > DP adapter

That or alternativley grab one 24" DP monitor from Dell and the other 2 lower spec non DP ones.

Hi Johnny,

3 of those monitors would be fine and give you a great experience for racing sims.

I have 3 * 2407's running 1920*1200 each on eyefinity and love playing games like iRacing, Grid, GTR Evo etc. You won't regret going eyefinity. I've been playing with 3 screens for a long while now (started with a triplehead2go set up).

I know there are a number of people out there who say they'd get annoyed by the bezels, but all of them seem to be people who have not used as a triple set up and have just seen pictures of it.

I know for me with racing sims, flight sims and fps, I don't even notice they're there. The best analogy I've seen for it is when your drive your car, you don't notice the 'A pillars' at the front.

As for the display port issue, I'm using the sapphire display port adapter but if you could get a monitor with DP that would solve a small problem as the adapters as about £75. Or you could try the VGA route that Datamonkey suggested. Though something in the back of my mind tells me there is a max resolution that way, but I'll leave DataMonkey comment on that one as I've not tried it.

Going through the various forms, display port adaptors are a hit and mis affair for people. Works with some set ups and not with others. Others seem to get away with an apparently non active adaptor. The only guaranteed way ensure functionality is to get at least 1 monitor with a Displayport.

I have 3 Dell 2407WFP and am using TH2Go. When it time comes for a graphic card upgrade, if Displayport is still a requirement I intend on selling one and geting a 2408WFP.

And agreed, bezels are not an issue when playing. As a third person observing someone else or watching a video of a triple screen set up, I can understand why people who haven't tried it are concerned with the bezels.

If you have a dead pixel on any of your 2407s, you can get dell to replace it, which will be a 2408.

I picked my eyefinity setup today and was also worried that the bezzles might annoy me but tbh I dont even notice them

I have 2 5850s in crossfire if i did this could i use 1 of the dvis on the other card?

My understanding is no you can't. Because once in crossfire, they become one unit and one card becomes the master for the screens and the other only does processing. Therefore you can only use the outputs from the master card.
