Anyone upgraded to EyeTV3 yet?

Seems to have addressed my only gripe with the v2 software by adding "Series Subscriptions" letting it automatically record every episode of a series so i cannot forget to record stuff.

Another useful addition is the ability to install the software on multiply Macs and share the recorded show library amongst them all. :)

Ive got both Hybrid and Diversity, the Diversity seems to need a stronger signal in dual tuner mode, but, with a decent aerial and splitter+booster mine is pretty much flawless. :)

Im hoping the v3 software supports multiple devices so i can plug both sticks in and record 3 shows at once. :) I know multiple device has been discussed on there forums and is mentioned as flakey and unsupported but being worked on.

Neither of my Macpros has an IR reciever so i dont know... :(

Just checked on my iMac, and yes it has its own FullScreen menu system which can be easily navigated using the standard Apple remote. :)

Well i finally bought EyeTV3 last night and its a nice improvement over v2... the ability to record series' isnt as straight forwards as I was expecting as both a TIVO and Sky+ user... Instead you setup filters to restrict the program guide to just the shows you want and then tell it to record any shows captured using that filter, which I suppose is a more flexible way of doing it but time consuming when first setting it up.

For instance a couple of my filters are;

Title Contains Top Gear
Channel Number is 2
Repeat is False
Keep ALL shows

Title Contains Big Bang
Channel Name is E4
Start Time is 22:00
Keep 5 shows

With Tivo and Sky+ Id simply select 1 episode and then tell it to Season Pass / Series Link that show.

Ive got both the Elgato Hybrid and WinTV Diversity (exactly the same hardware as the Elgato Diversity just cheaper to buy if you already have the EyeTV software)... Im plugged into a household aerial (1 coax into a powered 3way splitter booster) and then 3 coax cables into the 3 inputs.

The recordings are ~2gb/hour in an mpeg format.

A quick looksie and it appears to be MPEG only for initial recording, but, you can manual export the recording into a HUGE list of different formats... Also you can get it to automatically export to AppleTV/iPhone format upon completion of recording.

Ive seen some automator scripts for doing some great things with recordings, these include Automatically editting them to remove adverts and automatically exporting to Divx and remove original MPEG on completion... Ive not used any myself, but its definately do-able.
