EyeTV Sat Free

Just wondering if anyone has one of these?

I recently got rid of Sky TV+ HD and I am also looking to get rid of my desktop mac mini & 27" monitor.

Therefore I was looking into buying this eyeTV and using the mac mini as a media centre (DVD, iplayer, youtube, and freesat)

I have heard the eyeTV 3 software is very good but just seeing if anyone has first hand experience with it.

oh good question i don't have one but i have been looking at getting an Eyetv for my mini as well

Well I've ordered one as well as the cables.

When/if I receive it I'll set it all up and let you know how it looks. All I need now is a trackpad and I can surf while sat on my settee.

Am i right in assuming the HD version of this doesn't support UK HD channels?
Was looking into this a while back and came to this conclusion which is gutting

I hope not

The HD broadcasts are DVB-S2? which the unit supports. But I could be wrong.

After doing more research, some people are saying that it can get UK HD channels, but you need to add them manually, auto tune won't locate them.

Getting close, all I need now is a good EyeTV/Plex integration and I can ditch my Win7 and Mediaportal HTPC.

Have you checked the plex forums ??? There should be loads on the integration side of it, can i ask what model you went for
