F.E.A.R CD Key

If i was to buy a second hand copy of F.E.A.R, that was supplied with a key, could i use this key for the game and for online gaming? or is it registered to an account similar to the steam network?

The online part of FEAR is now free from what I understand it now, so the key is more just for singeplayer.

If it's just for multiplayer then it seems kind of crazy to buy fear when the multiplayer part of it is free

Single player is pretty good though and imo the multiplayer sucks.

i bought FEAR of mm market, at the moment, just downloading the patch

IF they register it, can u still play it online? other than that, i think ANY game u can play online if u where to buy the game second hard ?

See Post #2 regarding first point.

Most games you can play online second hand fine, however if they involve registering a CDKey to an account, like Steam, or say World of Warcraft, it's a little bit more complicated.

My point was that for the single player the OP could just use their original FEAR cd key for the single player
