I just completed this game. Have to say i thought it was top notch and what an ending!! I've waited alomg time to play it as my previous system wasn't powerful enough but i have to say it was worth the wait

All i have to do now is find something else to play :|

Now you should play F.E.A.R. Extraction Point

which is an Expansion for F.E.A.R and I think it it carries on from the end, I cant play it though because it lags totally

try upgrading your RAM to 2Gb, then u should be fine

completed FEAR myself too, still havent bought the dam expansion yet! lol

Yes i got 2 gig for fear and it was fine i was using venice 3000 at 2.6 and a x800xl with 2 gig,once i got 2 gig it played a lot better

I can max F.E.A.R out with 1gb, could almost on my X800XTPE, but F.E.A.R XP must need more ram for some reason even tho it looks exatly the same :confused:

I enjoyed FEAR, got a bit stale near the middle but when the location changed to the abandoned apartments it got much better, and last section of the game was superb. Am going to hold off from getting the expansion for a while though - so many other games to get through first!

How will FEAR run on my PC - AMD 64 3200, 2Gb RAM & 6800GS AGP??
Is it worth it over Half Life 2 (I'm not too keen on the thought of STEAM)?

certainly looks better than the original not in terms of graphics or anything like that but the people u meet, different story line

OK, so i got FEAR Gold Edition and loaded up Extraction Point. I don't think that it is better than the original, i suppose it on par but there is more disturbing imagery than the first :cool:

Only downside is that i found it to be much shorter than the original but there are some nice additions like the sentry mines and new bad guys.
Its left open ended aswell i i expect there will be a part 3 in the future

I couldn't get into EP - even though I really enjoyed the original FEAR. Ah well.

It does look pretty in parts....I think it didn't feel very polished though.

Found FEAR to be a bit of a meat and potatoes FPS. Good graphics, good gunfights, lots of enemies... bit of a Doom3 really. Well i guess every game can't be a half life 1.
