F@H CPU and GPU clients together :/ - Problems!

I'm running the GPU client on my 8800 GTX and I've also set up 2 x console clients on my AMD X2 4800+ using the instructions form the very helpful F@H setup instruction.

My problem is that when the console clients are configured to run at 100% cpu in the Console Client, the GPU client doesnt appear to do any work!

Both cores of the CPU are loaded, each console client is showing 50% cpu usage (or 100% per core), then the GPU client is sat at 0% cpu usage. Proc affinity isnt set on the threads in task manager, I can't set it using the right click - set affinity option in task manager.

I've dropped both console clients to use 75% cpu through the config on the console client and now both consoles and the GPU client are running. However, the GPU client has pulled a 5000 WU instead of the 25000 WUs it has been doing all this week.

On the GPU2 client config options there should be a tab that gives you an options to set it to a slightly higher priority. This should fix the conflict with the two console clients. If you still can't get it to play nice, just nuke one of the console clients altogether. The loss in points will be minimal.

About the WUs - mine picked up a small one the other day. Not sure why, but you should get the larger ones after you've submitted.

Cheers for the reply. Ive nuked one of the console clients and now have 1 GPU and 1 Console left running. FahMon shows 3249.52ppd. Have to see how this pans out over the next few days as its not a 24/7 machine.

I've picked back up on the 25ks for the GPU (Project 5004 - 479 points) and the CPU is running a 4590 - 119 points.

My 8800GT is in the borg, which is a part time folder. The GPU2 client is a surprisingly good borg client as it starts itself on login, behaves well and returns a complete work unit every few of hours.

That's exactly what I experienced, I was running SMP, but when I added the GPU client, everything ground to a halt, so I've nuked the SMP, which was churning out 800ppd, in favour of the GPU, which churns out 2740!

So my output is waaay up on what it was, which isnt bad for a single machine (I think!)

:D

conmfirmation of the same here.

2 x win smp & 1 x 8800GT don't put out as many points as a single smp and 8800gt.

Like the rest - i just nuked one of the smp clients and now just run as 8800gt & 1 smp client on my machine.

Now, where is that overclocking options on my 8800gt!??!?!??!

Rather than start a new thread I'll just raise my queries in here as it's related.

My E2180 powerhouse :o is churning out a mind blowing 400 ppd Hardly worth the effort.....
My GTX on the other hand can churn out in the region of 4000 ppd much better.

However whilst the GPU client is running with it's own CPU core to feed it I cant watch any video on the PC :( I take it the GPU is throwing everything it has at folding, fair enough, but is there a way to limit the GPU useage to folding to say 90%? So i can still use the PC for other video related tasks.

I see no option to do this in the client, maybe it's not possible? but if it is please do tell how.

EDIT
Seems under the advanced tab the slider for "cpu useage" actualy relates to the GPU useage so dropping that a few notches fixed my problem. I thought it was for the useage of the core feeding the GPU, Doh!
