F@H issues.

just had a realy odd problem with F@H.
had a PC (2.6GHz P4) with F@H on it, installed as a service etc has been running fine for a few months, but all of a sudden it started playing up (as this is remote I don't have accsess to the logs) word etc taking ages to load (like 3-4 mins) folders taking ages to open aswell, boot up taking ages, everything realy.
I turned the F@H service off and all of a sudden its running fine again.
any idea if I just need to re-install F@H or is it a deeper issue?
anyone else had this problem?

Well if at all possible I would reinstall F@H and see how it goes. Probably the quickest way of finding out where the problem lies.

how much ram does it have?

is it possible that it's got a large WU and it's forcing the computer to swap badly?

either that or any chance it's the heat and it's throttling like an old goat?

512, and air conditioned.
it wasn't using 100% ram etc, just whoreing the system :confused:

anyway, clients had it removed now, the other ones still got it on
