The current estimate is based on 1600 PPD, FahMon says I am folding at around 3500PPD, just gonna take a day or two for the stats to catch up. [I lost a WU at 85% this morning

Pretty sure you will need over 5500 ppd to get there first

Ooh, I think you're right. Quick calculation suggests 8 days for your 1m. 10 days for me

I was half-considering buying a 260 a few minutes ago, just to fold. How much PPD do you get out of one of those?

Just to pipe in, my green GTS250 gets between 4,500-5,500PPD (depending on the WU it's munching on). Not as good as a 260 of course, but it currently costs £85 so is a fair bit cheaper.

b grade 260 are 100
and second hand there are 75-85
crank the shadders up and core down and you still get 9k ppd for the same wattage and price of a new 250 at stock.

I do sometimes wish I'd have gone for a 260 though... then again, I wish I had a hatful of 295s, but I suppose the line needs to be drawn somewhere for some reason, and my line's dictated by finance, hence the single 250

Be interesting to see what the new GPU client brings to the red team as well. They do so well at milkyway and it just feels like they are so underutilised in Folding.
