The GPU client has started to show - plus I've had a few quite large WUs in the works.

Probably won't hold you off for much longer but we'll have to see - your rigs are mightly crunchyful :eek:


I would parp Berserker, KE1HA, and Shady but one or all of those may be a bit premature :D
 
I'm running 2 GPU clients just now and will probably be setting it up on another rig tommorow (2 X1900XTs and an X1900 master card - I was going to run crossfire in my gaming rig but I really don't need to so it'll be more beneficial to fold on them all. I'll probably run them in crossfire when Stanford get the dual core thing sorted).

Stan, is your flat just wall-to-wall PCs? No furniture, no pictures... is there even a kitchen?

I just can't fathom how you can afford all these machines! I mean 3 X1900s! Thats gotta be at least 600 quids worth! You have your E6600 rig and countless X2s... man you either get paid very very well or have no life outside of folding :p

There's a few more since then. I was thinking about doing another thread since things have changed.

As to how I can afford it. I work offshore and get paid quite well for it and as Rich says, I live in a company flat with all bills paid except my broadband (and food etc. of course) - and you're quite right, I have very little life at the moment :o

That's the third GPU client set up and running.

They are running on the following rigs:

Sideshowbob - E6600
Krusty - E6300
Abe - old 4000+ Sandy (the old scabby one which hardly OCs)

The two C2Ds are doing fairly standard 8 mins per frame but no matter what I do with Abe, I can't seem to get him any faster than 10.5 mins per frame :confused:
I think I'll shift the X1900XT from him over to one of the other lowish output rigs tomorrow and see if I can get better performance from it.

I am not ocing any of these cards as I had problems with EUEs when I ocd Abe and Bob.

It's not just you, Sirius is getting away from be because of crappy WUs. :(
 
@deej and Mr B - got almost a whole office on sub 150pointers, home rig get the better WU all the time (no idea why :confused: ) - that said I'm happy about it really, got ram issues here (one machine has two 600pointers and can only do that over night :( ) so I'm well down on crunching hours this week.

Ram upgrade is still in pipeline but company is still waiting for a big client to pay up (pesty lawers - at 400 £ph running up their own bills)

If I had steel kahunas (and wasn't too worried about my job) there's about 5k PCs here waiting to be borged which I have admin access to.

Shame the servers are monitored closely as that would be roughly 100 dual Xeons.

I was thinking exactly the same thing! Stan, where's what on earth is your leccy bill like? Once upon a time we did battle for a cell (I think it was 20) for a good four months - not anymore, and there's no chance at all of me ever catching up again. Oh well, fold on team10
