Anyone have any data on how the SMP's (Quads) perform on 64-Bit Linux in SMP mode ?

I have a testing rig that I may change over to a quad core & install Linux 64 v.s. WinDoze if the performance is better.

That must be some kind of kickass server motherboard to allow 4x Quad core chips, im moist with anticipation of the Dual Quad Core Macpro, but Quad Quad Core must be amazing.
Opps, bit of a type-o in my original post :D. It's not a Quad or MP processor board, it's a board capable of running the Quard Core Single Intel Processor = QX6700 Kentsfield Processor. Most of the newer Core 2 Motherboards can run them.

What Im really interested in is, whether a Quad Core Kentsfield running all 4 cores in 64-Bit will out produce a e6700 with two x1900 CPU's.

Since the release of the x1950's the price of the 1900's have come down quite allot.

However, Youd need to run 4 copies of the SMP code to make full use of all 16 cores... each SMP client uses 4 cores.
That's really a mute point :p as I dont have a 4 Processor capable Motherboard, wish I did !!!
