I'm suffering from a bad run of WUs and lots of people getting Conroes. It seems one Conroe will outpower everything I have. One X1900 will smash it into last year.

No hardware upgrades on the horizon either.

Same here - I also had to turn them all not on for a couple of days last week which didn't help

If the cheapest X1900 (about £160 I think) is any use in the folding malarky I can justify one for my main rig - after that though it would be major money time and current job insecurity just makes that silly

nothing I've done - just completely useless management which I fear before long will lead to losing one if not both of our biggest clients
It may not come to that but I'd rather have the extra money at the moment to keep my options open

I've still got an unopened X1800. On that basis, getting an X1900 would be silly. Besides, I'd have to upgrade my motherboard, CPU, and RAM to get one (I'm still all-AGP). At that point it gets very expensive.

I can justify a Conroe as a replacement for my 5yo server box, but don't have the money.

I'm with you Beserker. I have 6 machines - all AGP. Newest machine is Socket 754

I have an E6600 sitting in it's box on a chair. The rest of the pc will cost a lot of money

Eventually I want a DS4 so I can put two X1900's on it.

I'm with you both, mind you I've a s775 but it's with a 955x chipset so no conroe for me just yet and only a 850xt so thats no use either

Can't say I really bothered, as long as I stay red I'll be happy
