Does anyone else use f.lux on their computer?

If you're like me and find yourself doing work (word processing/coding etc.) on your computer in the middle of the night (i.e. now...) then I find f.lux is a great program to make your computer screen more easy on the eye.

It makes your screen yellow/orange so is not ideal for work that needs accurate colour representation. At the beginning I didn't think I would get used to the yellow tinge but now I find it much more pleasant to work on my computer at these hours. The best thing about this program is it reverts back to original settings during the day and gradually changes your colouring in the evening.

Hope someone else finds this program as useful as I have.

I gave it a whirl after seeing it linked on another thread here but didn't like it - any image looked un-natural, etc.

I came across it last week and installed it. I'm finding there is a lot less strain on my eyes when using the computer in the dark or late on in the evening.

Takes a bit of getting used to at first but I think it is beneficial.

I used to use it ages ago. Forgot about it after I re-installed windows. Then a few months later I installed it again but couldn't get used to it at all!

I have set mine to 4200K, it is still yellow but not too much that its too distracting. Once you get used to it and revert it back to daylight, it should be clear how much easier your screen is to look at (IMO anyway).

Again, I wouldn't recommend this for image work or watching videos but its great when you are doing some coding etc.

i have been using it for a few months, at first, i didnt like it, but then i realised id completely forgotten about it.....

seen this thread just reminded me, clicked on the "disable for 1 hour" button and thought i was going to die from the bright white off my monitors!!!!

for those who dont like it, id save give it a chance!

I remember this being posted a few years ago... didn't like it as it made the colours funny so uninstalled it after a couple of days trying :p.
