The other day someone asked me about the headset as they couldn't find many reviews for it so i thought i would do my best at making a half decent review for it
Im sorry if there are imperfections im not a professional.
The headphones are made from a high quality light metal & hard plastic. It feels very rugged and durable and im not overly concerned that a bump may cause bad damage
Above the earcups are a exposed wire(more on this later) it may not be in everyones taste however i think it looks very striking and has a very nice " snake like braid " on the cable and really stands out.
The padding around the ear cups and headband is extremely comfortable and was tested over long 12H+ duration and the headset never became uncomfortable.
The microphone is removable and replaced with a plastic cap over the jack female.
The cable is very nicely braided and feels durable and looks clean.
Cables included are a 3.5MM cable and a usb cable that are interchangeable on the headset
The microphone quality is very good, working very well on push to talk and voice activation setups. A lot of people complimented how clear and accurate the sound coming from the mic was. it does cancel out sound very well and picks up the voice and nothing else.
The sound quality is very nice on these headphones. In games sounds are very distinct and i found myself hearing enemy's a long time before seeing them.
I took these headphones to work to test them in a loud environment i was stood within 20 m of a machine were under safety precautions you have to wear ear defence within 100M of the machines i had these headphones on set to full volume and i was very impressed at how little noise got in on the heavier rock songs however on some more gentle music the noise from the machines was noticeable
This was a extreme test and overall im very impressed with the sound cancellation on these headphones
Listening to music on these is very nice however there are better headphones out there made for music, however these are aimed souley at gaming and is understandable that the music quality isnt 100% ( its a good 99% though. )
Sadly now onto a few bad notes
on my iphone 4s my phone started to act up in some ares with voice control, the mic was unplugged however for some reason it still picked up? and it was quite annoying it happened around about 8 times in a 14 hour shift.
The 3.5MM jack included i found that out of the box the wire needs to be in a exact position or the audio will not play and is annoying as if it moves just mms it will stop playing.
another slight let down is that these headphones don't feature 5.1 or 7.1 surround, it would have been a good feature especially for a high end gaming oriented headset
Along with the cost. I think in comparison to some other headphones on the market these are slightly over priced. If you are not concerned about the price difference and don't care to much for surround, then i would highly recommend these headphone
