F1 2009 Season discussion/development thread

Apparently Red Bull are going to protest Brawns Diffuser if it passes scruteneering this weekend... So rather than protest the rules and the diffuser on Brawn, Williams and Toyota, they are just going to protest Brawn, who just so happen to be faster than them... Toy, pram, tantrum, anyone?

Stop complaining, if the diffuser passes, get ur camera out and build you own, dont just winge and moan to the FIA to ban the team because they thought of the idea before you!

Bah, so many things I want to say but cannot.

It is not a simply a matter of complaining/protesting because they are fast. The FIA have messed this whole affair up royally.

But due to the bickering he gave up I believe.:(

Aye it is, I don't blame him at all to be honest. But, I would like to see him doing it again if possible and for the threads to be properly moderated.

This is his exact wording:

There are goodbyes closer to home as well. I've decided that it's time to hang up the keyboard as far as starting the threads goes. It was fun for a while but the banter has been replaced by petty repetitive squabbling which I'm not prepared to provide a platform for.

I vote knip :)

Believe me I cant word things as well as RPStewart did. My threads would just begin
"Ok so its race one, Melbourne, im sure all the drivers are up for this one, no fathead, no adverts, oh and if you wanna see the track then go find it yerself" :D
(oh and someone make me a cuppa, its too fracking early!)

Australian GP 2009 Thread.

Ill have a pop at it, heres how its gona be laid out. :p

Big season with lots of changes to the aerodynamics and wheels. With slicks coming back in 2009 after so many years. :p Don't know the exact figure. And the aerodynamic changes meaning Brawn have jumped from bottom of the pack to high flyers could see this year being exciting. Will Mclaren catch back any speed in Australia or will we have to wait till Bahrain or even longer. Could Ferrari stop Brawn stealing the show or will have to be Toyota/Williams to stop them. We will see.

Eh?! How exactly have they messed it up? Williams checked it with them before going down that route and they gave it the all clear. 3 different teams even thought of it!

Are you sure you're not grumpy because Renault didn't think of it? :p;)

Oh jaykay - just a thought. Make sure it says clearly NOT IN HD somewhere in the post. Save us answering it every 20 posts or so :p

CS||nuTs - is it something that you both can't really tell in any detail? I'm with wolver currently in thinking it's just bad luck that you guys didn't think of it?

Would you be happy doing this for the entire season...no races missing?

Personally, I would rather we get JRS to do it. :D

I could probably do every race if i must. But if i give up ill give everyone a heads up so were not missing a GP thread during race week.

Looks good to me jaykay, nice one. The only thing I'd suggest (seeing as most of us are in the UK?) is putting the GMT times first (then maybe the local times in brackets after or something). It's not a great problem for the flyaway races (as the time differences are huge), but I'm liable to become confused after a few beers during the European ones.

Thank you, I have edited for your comfort. :)
