A McLaren test driver, in a car with a Ferrari engine :)

Which is probably why is helmet is sponsor-less, doesn't even have his name on it.

Like when Alonso 1st tested for Mclaren, he was still under contract with Renault. So he tested in a completely white stig-like race suit and a white helmet.

*edit*

The contract with Ferrari is also up, so Ferrari couldn't veto PDLR out.

It's my understanding that electronic KERS is the only way forward for F1 teams due to weight. Mechanical KERS involves having a flywheel of some description spinning at eleventy thousand RPM and can be unstable and heavy.

Obviously the problem with the electronic system is its tendency to dump eleventy thousand volts into the nearest mechanic. But mechanics are cheaper than cars :)

The 2008 drivers standings if the "Gold, Silver, Bronze" medals idea had been introduced earlier on in the year.

Code:
                          G S B Total
1. Felipe Massa 6 2 2 10
2. Lewis Hamilton 5 2 3 10
3. Kimi Raikkonen 2 2 5 9
4. Fernando Alonso 2 1 0 3
5. Robert Kubica 1 4 2 7
6. Heikki Kovalainen 1 1 1 3
7. Sebastian Vettel 1 0 0 1
8. Nick Heidfeld 0 4 0 4
9. Nico Rosberg 0 1 1 2
10. Nelson Piquet 0 1 0 1
=. Timo Glock 0 1 0 1
12. David Coulthard 0 0 1 1
=. Jarno Trulli 0 0 1 1
=. Rubens Barrichello 0 0 1 1
15. Kazuki Nakajima 0 0 0 0
=. Sebastien Bourdais 0 0 0 0
=. Takuma Sato 0 0 0 0
=. Adrian Sutil 0 0 0 0
=. Mark Webber 0 0 0 0
=. Jenson Button 0 0 0 0
=. Anthony Davidson 0 0 0 0
=. Giancarlo Fisichella 0 0 0 0

Webber, Nakajima, Button and Bourdais all scored points this season, This table makes them look ****. (Or in Buttons case, slightly worse :p)

AFAIK that was one of the reasons Bernie signed up with the BBC.

ITV couldn't provide HD services whereas BBC could.

How many times....

It doesnt matter who broadcasts the thing, if it isnt FILMED in HD with HD CAMERAS (which F1 ISNT) then its not going to be shown in HD. IF and WHEN they start to film F1 in HD, yes, i suspect the BBC will show it, but it wont be happening next year.
