I have the PC version of this game and it just feels unfinished. No chequered flag to signify the race end, computer controlled cars jump round the screen like drunken bugs, frame rate appears to be low despite fraps reporting betwwen 30 and 50 fps on my q6600 @ 3ghz and ati 5870. No dx11. has anyone seen a saftey car yet? the spectators look pathetic and the replays lack camera angles. Come on codies get your act together, I expected much more from you.

Virtual chequered flag telling you the race is finished, do you really need a real one?

AI are a wee bit dodgy with the jerking about, but they more than make up for it, not the end of the world.

Frame rates are subjective, runs perfectly for me on a Q6600 and 5770.

DX11 offical compatibility is coming in a patch, as has been said for ages. You can enable it if you want just now, its a wee bit buggy but works well enough to use.

There was never going to be safety cars, from the very beginning. Really, safety cars aren't a big deal. Its good as a gimmick, but try doing it in Rfactor a couple of times, you very quickly get bored driving slowly for 3 or 4 laps.

Spectators i can't say i've noticed, shouldnt you be concentrating on the actual driving and racing?

Replay's are a known flaw, that is the only point i agree with you on.

Yes i need a chequered flag.

Its a game...
if they skipped such simple things in such a specific game type then what the hell.

Its like removing the runway in a flight sim you wouldnt do that and say OH you dont really need it do you lol.

There is a chequered flag on the screen, does it actually matter if there is an animated one that you go past in a second? Really? It is absolutely nothing like removing a runway, that is a shocking example, its more like removing the wind sock at the side of the runway. Does it matter?

I dont remember playing any f1 game before hand that had any of the things youve just mentioned apart from maybe one grand prix game for the master system but it wasnt needed even in that. For a first post you failed massively but damn it your trying ;)

chequered flag
them dolly birds at the start of the race
safety car
marshalls on track
a chopper in the background ( tv crew )

all stuff that has made this game feel very very unfinished
i have made my feelings known via twitter to all the right people

Welcome to OcUK by the way. :) And i believe safety cars are being introduced in F1 2011, seen nothing about chequered flags, and pit woman

It's not perfect, but it's the best F1 game I've played since Geoff Crammonds F1GP.

Maybe some people expected it to be a bit more of a simulation, which it never set out to be.

I've put a lot of hours into it since release and can see many more hours of good gameplay along the road.

Holding in the pits issue. Pit a lap earlier or lap later.
No perf probs for me.
AI not actually "driving" thier qualifying laps but getting auto generated time. Who cares and what difference does it make?
No chequered flag - again, does it really matter?
No podium. Who cares? I'd probably skip it after watching it once anyhow.
Corrupted save game. Can be avoided if you don't return to the paddock after completing an R&D objective in a practice session. You should advance to qualifying stage instead.

So, only one game breaker there but that can be worked around easily. none of the other stop the game being fun - and as I said, the best F1 game (note game, not simulation) for a decade.

Anti-this-game-is-rubbish rant over!

Only issue I have with the game is most of the tracks are a bit empty looking...they did a good job with Monaco but its like they couldnt be bothered with the others.

Thats what they are like though. Singapore and Abu Dhabi look excellent in this respect.

Am i the only one who thinks they got the scaling wrong for the Brazil track, it seems very narrow compared to other times i've driven round it.

Interlagos ive noticed is quite narrow in the game, but the real track is pretty narrow as well, i assume were talking about the track from Ferra Dura, upto Juncao? Turns 6 through to 13! because it is quite narrow along this stretch

It would not surprise me if later we find out that the game was in Alpha state when it got sent out.

The game has issues here and there but it is still a great game for most of us. I like it to bits and I hope they will release DLC or new F1 game next year with updated teams/tracks.

It looks like the game has sold very well so I don't see them not making another one in the future.

In my Opinion there has been a little rumor around that 2011 is already in the works, F1 2010 may well just be the little niggles and flaws game that, they can learn from by us playing it, so imo i consider F1 2010 to be a tester for 2011, if it indeed is true and is in the works.
