Renault 2011 livery on 2010 car

Great to see the old JPS black and gold back in F1, shame it's on the wrong Lotus though.

Well its the same colours but the scheme bears no resemblance to the old JPS one. This reminds me more of the old Wolf cars with the thick Gold lines. Oh and the red doesnt work either.

CAN I GET A BIGGER LOTUS BADGE PLEASE?

Hateful scheme. Worse than the Hamburglur ING "McDonalds" scheme they had 2 years ago or so.

Also, anyone fed up of the clinical McLaren scheme now?

I really dislike the look of this Renault-Lotus. The red end-plates and mirrors ruin the colour scheme, and also the thick gold lines on the side-pods don't do it any favours.

Seeing as McLaren are testing with an interim car for the first test session, I wonder if we'll see an orange colour scheme as they used in same circumstances during 2006 testing. Here's hoping...!?

don't apologise for the big picture, no point not being able to see the details...

I googled 'japan rags' seen just at the front of the side pod, are they just some Superdry style fashion spin off? seem a bit small fry for F1?

I like the car?

Ugh, LOLtus have really dropped a clanger with that one. If they want to keep the Total brand on the car then make the car use Total's colour scheme. Randomly splatting some red on the wing endplates just to carry the logo and then using a black+gold scheme that like saddler says is rather more reminiscent of the Wolf Racing cars rather than the JPS Lotus of old....

Nice one LOLtus. I really, really hope that Team Lotus puts you in your place. They're certainly going to beat you on looks.

1) It is a Wolf!
2) It's on a Renault!
3) Total... Ugh.
4) Could be problems with the Lotus Cars logo on the nose - thats where the manafactures logo is - and Group Lotus is purely the sponsor. Ok, there is a Renault on on there, but the Lotus Cars on is larger.

Like JRS, I so hope that Fauxtus Renault really embarasses themselves. They job has already begun with Petrov and this paint job.

Okay, is there a primer somewhere on which Lotus team is which, which one relates to the one that raced last season, and which one I should like and why? I've read various stories about the battles but all the different Lotuses and various factions got me confused. I need help.

Riiiiiiight. :D

2010 - Lotus Racing
2011 - Team Lotus

And...

1981 to 1985 - Toleman Motorsport
1986 to 2001 - Benetton Formula Ltd
2002 to 2010 - Renault F1
2011 - Lotus Renault GP

Essentially, Lotus Racing has bought Team Lotus Ventures which had the rights to use the Team Lotus name in F1 and are using Team Lotus.

Group Lotus which had no rights to the Team Lotus name have sponsored Renault F1 who are now 100% owned by Genii Capital and have named the team Lotus Renault GP.
