I think Massas the dark horse regards the WCC, he actually looked like a F1 driver with a near competitive car at the end of the season, so Im having trouble discounting Ferrari from not being up there if they have a half decent car.

I cant see Vettel not winning the WDC, but he isnt one Id like to win...

Massa won't win the title, not a chance, he's strictly no 2 driver, if reliability is enough to potentially put Alonso behind Massa even with Massa letting him past, it will be insanely unlikely Massa won't have reliability problems also.

However with a proper car and Massa on end of last season form, that is a very strong partnership, its yet to be seen what Rosberg can do with a top car, but Merc have a strong line up. I don't particularly rate Webber, winning a few races in easily the best car over the past 3 years isn't hard. The number of times he puts in a crap qualifying performance, he's far too inconsistent to be considered a top driver.

For the first 1/3 of a season I think Ferrari/Merc will be fighting it out for the top spots, who knows after inseason changes to cars.

Alonso/Lewis are by far the best drivers, if either team give them a really competitive car, they'll win the title, if they don't, it will be Red Bull, Mclaren don't appear to have the car, and don't have the drivers. It will take a Mclaren with Brawn style domination for half a season for either of them to win anything and there are zero signs of that so far.

Ferrari doesn't seem be the dog from the start of last year so Alonso shouldn't lose too many points at the start of the season and should be title contender.

This is my thinking too, which is why I put Ferrari as WCC as Massa seemed handy towards the end of the season. I can't decide yet between Vettel and Alonso for WDC, so will no doubt change it a few times before the lock :)

You realise that if you think Alonso wins WDC and McLaren wins WCC, you're saying that Sauber or Lotus will beat Red Bull, right?

I'll take a £0 punt on Alonso/Ferrari, as I think the loss of 100% DRS time in qualifying will end Vettel's hopes before they begin.

But in all honesty, I think this season will be tighter than a duck's arse...
 
Vettel and Red Bull seem like the safe choice. I can see it being very close like it was last year for at least the first half of the season. Hoping that Hamilton and Mercedes will do well.
