F1 2014 - Your Predictions

I too think it's between the Mercedes drivers. Hamilton for the driver's and Mercedes for the constructor's.

Seen a few people reckon Mercedes (the team) have a huge advantage pace wise and weren't going all out in testing. I can quite believe it, as the other Mercedes-powered teams were nowhere last season, and all of a sudden they've caught up? Nah.

Even if Mercedes don't have a massive advantage, I really can't see anyone else winning it. Neither of the Williams drivers are consistent enough, Button will likely still have his qualifying deficit (though how important that is will depend on how big the field-spread is), Magnussen can't be expected to win in his first season, and I can only imagine Force India will fall away. Ferrari have shown nothing to suggest they've got a stellar package.
 
I think Magnussen will impress, but not sure the McLaren will be quick enough.

I'd like to see some toys if (when? :p) Raikkonen beats Alonso a couple of times

But realistically it looks like Merc will build an early lead and probably be able to keep that until the end of the season depending how the other teams do. Then of the two drivers I'd say Hamilton has a slim advantage over Rosberg.

Can see them building a big enough lead early on before anyone is able to make a comeback. Can't see Ferrari winning it even with probably the best pairing as there will no doubt be a squabble at some point which will ruin the relationship.

I know over the years Hamilton has been quicker than Rosberg but from testing it looks like Nico is getting the better from this years car. That is not to say Hamilton won't adapt or is in anyway slow but I think Nico will edge it. I would not be surprised if Mercedes get a 1 - 2 in the WDC.
 
My only prediction for 2014 is Lewis winning a couple of races and his media whore ex girlfriend is back in the paddock prior to the European season getting into full swing ;)

Other than that I have not followed testing or any of the details on tech changes at all this season other than reading about failures. I prefer to have a clean break from it all in the close season now and just see what happens.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a 1998 style romp at the first race by a mercedes powered team and the rules get reverted back to 2013 spec for everyone except mercedes ;)

Mercedes for Constructor
 
I'm hoping Hamilton, my theory is I think he is the most adaptable so with that & his car I think he'll be the man to beat but he'll have to beat his team mate first so I s'pose it's down to where Hamiltons head is come race day.
 
Reading through these predictions, due to the amount of Hamilton/Rosberg and Merc almost all of us are going to be screwed if RBR sort their problems out or Ferrari is as fast as some rumours suggest
