Looks like they are announcing this tomorrow for PC 360/ps3.

Disappointed no current gen release.

Thats disappointing but i will no doubt buy it a few weeks after release as i still get a good amount of gaming hours out of the game even though they copy and paste most things.

I was kind of wishing they would release a cheap update to 2013 with the new cars etc and some new scenario modes then from 2015 release the game much closer to the start of the season

one can only dream!

No ps4 or x1 eh? Codemssters really do know how to alienate customers.. guess it'll be more hyped up tripe like all codemasters f1 games, that'll I'll buy anyhow as I'm such a f1 fan and still hopeful that one year they'll as said get it right or hire Geoff crammond and be done with it ....

F1 2013 was good, had something for all skill levels and a lot of decent options, I guess a PS4/XB1 outing will have to wait. It is a shame because what the game needs is an FPS boost to really let the gameplay shine. TBH if a game was going to make me get a gaming PC for silky smooth fps it would be this, i like it that much sometimes, Codies have done a decent job imo.

That's the only source? If so I'll wait until the official announcement before even thinking about that possibility.

I'd be massively surprised if a new F1 game isn't made for the new consoles, FOM the licence holders would want as much exposure ($$$) as possible. I'd also be very disappointed as then I'd have nothing to play it on.

I really hope that's not true, I was looking forward to F1 on the PS4, not a chance I'll buy it for the 360/PS3 if that's the case

PS4 is seriously lacking a decent racing game and Codemasters pull this. Shocking decision.

One thing I can take from that blog post, it sounds like the 2015 edition for PS4/XB1 will come out a lot earlier and have regular updates as the real season progresses?

With any luck we might see a 2015 version in March/April then, but that's pretty optimistic.

Hopefully the current gen game in 215 can have proper qualifying laps (cars going out on tracks like the old Geoff Crammond F1 game.

And also have things like safety cars and amazing AI.

Not sure what you mean by the qualifying laps, and the SC has been in since 2012.

Well I obviously haven't played enough 2013 then (skipped 12), didn't realise the SC was in.

As in the cars you saw going round the track weren't actually doing representative times? I heard that too, for at least one of the editions. They were effectively trundling around and the times were actually generated separately.

Never really bothered me though.
