I didn't see a thread based on it, i did post in the off topic thread but I suppose it may deserve a thread of its own.

Mclaren are kicking theirs off today at 7pm - I'm quite looking forward to seeing what they have up their sleeves this year. Assuming they got details from Mercedes soon enough and have managed to incorporate the PU into their car well enough I'm expecting big things from them this year. A few podiums at the very least.

Yeah that's what I had hoped as well :p

but it's the first F1 'action' we've had in a while so I'm desperate for anything at the moment :D

What happened to the days of using the spice girls to unveil new cars!

maybe Horner is keeping that saved for the new Red Bull :p

well the mclaren looks fast - hopefully it's good on track

Just wasted 35 mins of my life with this launch

Although I usually track the launches, I've not actually watched a full car launch before. Don't think I will be again. The bit where they actually talked through the changes was interesting but that was about it.

For anyone who didn't watch the launch, The Race have put together a decent, short, video on the new car compared to the last:

I love that they’re promoting mental health with the sponsorship (mind).

Felt weird seeing Danny Ric in the McL colours though. Threw me for a moment.

I can’t not see that car name as a really bad private number plate. “Yeah mate, if you squint and put a couple of screws in the right place it says McLaren dunnit”

Floor twice as wide as the bodywork - check
London bus length of wheelbase - check
Halo plonked on top of cockpit like an afterthought - check

Yep, it's a modern F1 car.

'Woo'.

Today was the launch of the Toro Rosso Alpha Tauri 02 - I think I preferred last years livery but it's still a nice looking car

DO NOT HOTLINK IMAGES - EVH

Those white wheels won't stay white for long.

I know its only a small detail, on the rare occasion when teams do paint the wheels; it looks good. The Ferrari and Benetton from 1995 were stunning looking cars (nineties F1 cars were awesome on the whole).

The Alpha Tauri looks really nice in my view.

HOST. YOUR. OWN. PHOTOS.

Oops will do :)
