Only 9ms extra latency for an extra 78 fps, most impressive

Do they deliberately make the non-ray/path traced version look crap in the comparison videos by turning all the shadows etc. off or will it actually look that hilariously bad for people not running path tracing?

The cars look like pasted on cut outs ffs

Raster takes A LOT of work and time to get looking good and even then it still can't come close to RT so in a world where every company is trying to reduce costs and most gamers have access to RT hardware now, devs have been reducing their efforts on raster over the past few years so yes, raster will look worse than what it could have if it weren't for RT/PT version, some called out this evolution a long time ago with more and more games raster methods looking awful and games starting to no longer allow RT to be turned off.

Make sure you start from the 1:50/2 minute mark to avoid the usual YouTube tosh at the start - but wow, it looks fantastic.

I really enjoyed the PS5 Pro update for the '24 game when they added RT so definitely looking forward to playing this one again now but on PC. Looks like the 9070XT can also actually manage some path tracing so keen to see how it goes!

Yup it is great to see amd finally providing a RT/PT capable card especially with FSR 4 and they are now also introducing their competitor tech to nvidias ray reconstruction, good times ahead for all gamers
