F1 crash - anyone recognise it?

LOL, looks fake/setup to me, a few things stands out

1 - The Helmet has no sponsors !!!!
2 - He has no tubes coming out of his helmet (radio, water...etc)
3 - Is he even strapped in? (seatbelts)

Done some more digging - one site mentions it was a chap surname Kroyman (as on the car), who crashed it during a classics race, OR had the car modified and the weak point gave way.

The lack of sponsors lead me to believe it isn't a proper driver!

I believe it's a 1999 Ferrari.

Ah, beat me to it, cheers.

Google wasn't giving me much concrete info!

Could have been really bad, if he was going faster/crashed in a different way.

they should race laguna seca. was one of my favorite tracks on gran turismo. jumping over people at the chikane. good times.

^ ^ ^

f1 does suck a bit now, all overtaking seems to be done in the pits. it maybe the way to win but its quite boring to watch.

sunday's wasnt so bad had some decent action.

from the massive impact of Kubitza on Sunday you can see how strong they are.

No idea why this one failed so miserably but I know in recent years the FIA has done lots of work on strenghtening this structure.

Well it was an 8 year old car ! so they've got a lot stronger,
