Ive had a bit of trouble with my computer today.
I had a fatal crash and could only get into windows in safe mode.
Ive now reinstalled XP and everything seem fine. BUT i cant seem to F1 + ctrl into BIOS, which should give me the advance options to overclock etc...

Everything seems to be 'blued' out. Its got my clock settings ok, just wont let me change anything.

Anyone ever had this before? I have changed the battery, which i did while i was operating in safe mode.

Windows has nothing to do with the BIOS, you could have any OS on there and it wouldn't know.

Have you tried clearing the BIOS and putting the settings in again?

There is a jumper you can move across from the 1-2 to 2-3 position usually, but yeah its just as easy to pull the power plug out the back and remove the battery for 30 sec :)

This will put it back to factory defaults.

Yeh, reseting BIOS worked a treat.

Im really not sure why my computer whet ***'* up in the first place.

I have my suspicsions it had something to do with the Zone Alarm update (The one that changed the whole layout of ZA)
