f1 demo from psn

its one of those games that gets amazing screenshots, normally some kind of behind head water on the screen thing going but in reality it looks pretty pap.

Have you played it?

I enjoy it. :) I got it at Christmas, and still playing it 3 months later.

This has just come through on my bommerang rentals quite looking forward to playing it. Whats best mode career ??

Yeah, play through on career mode. You will need to do some testing for one of the lower teams to try and secure either a test drive or a race drive with them. Then you need to go through practice and quali in each race before the race itself. If you drive well you can get offered a drive from a bigger team part way through the season (not realistic I know, but it's a game) and you progress up the grid.

One thing I will say is that I found that with difficulty on easy you can secure a job really easily but you can also easily win races in a Torro Rosso  but if you increase the difficulty then it's really hard to even secure anything other than a test drive

I thought the graphics were great. Obviousley they don't look as good as an up and coming title like GT5 but for an early release they were fine and the weather effects were really good imo.

That's why I ended up trading my copy of F1:CE in.

It was hardly a challenge on the lower difficulties, but if you turned up the difficulty you'd be struggling to even get going in career mode.

I would say I'm a pretty good driver for the game, (no aids) but it was rediculously hard to even gain 5 places unless you drove like a madman, in which you'd end up blowing the engine.

I got my Ps3 about 2 months ago and got F1CE on sunday for my birthday. I loved the demo and kept going on that I wanted it so was pleased on sunday. Its great, the pits look a little gash and it would have been nice to update the drivers to more recent seasons. But the game itself holds its own still seeing as its pretty old now and still hard to get for under £30 which reflects on how its still selling.

For me the rain effect really sold it to me and playing with my wheel I get really focused and stuck in.

So you have a 60inch plus tv do you? I think the difference between 720P and 1080P on anything below in questiontable.
you can question it but the difference is clearly there....now if we were talking movies then i would see your point as there is very little noticable difference.

yer I've played it.

Its ok, just not good enough for me with all the other racing games out at the mo to warrant the time investment.
