We have some big changes in driver line ups this season, with only Red Bull keeping the same as last year.

I was wondering what others peoples thoughts were on the team mate pairings for 2010 and who will out syke who :)

∙ McLaren - Jenson Button vs Lewis Hamilton
The launch yesterday was a chance to see both drivers together for the first time. Beforehand I was expecting Lewis to be the center of attention but it seemed quite the opposite. Did anyone else think Jenson actually seemed more at ease there then Lewis?

∙ Mercedes - Nico Rosberg vs Michael Schumacher
The old maestro is back but is he going to be back on the pace? I think Rosberg can learn a lot from him but if he is going to stick around for another three seasons (or more as suggested by himself), I wouldn't want to be paired against him for that long else you'll turn into another Barichello / Irvine.

∙ Red Bull Racing-Renault - Sebastian Vettel vs Mark Webber
This pairing seems to be quite mutual but is that good for RB as a team or not? I don't think they will be separated unless the car is suited more to one driver than the other.

∙ Scuderia Ferrari - Felipe Massa vs Fernando Alonso
Most know I don't rate Massa all that (although I'm sure if I sat down and saw his stats he is quite good on paper) so think he will get demolished by Alonso.

∙ Williams-Cosworth - Rubens Barrichello vs Nico Hulkenberg
Hulkenberg is a newb and has some good showings but is still a bit of an uncertain for me, compared to say the other top GP2 drivers. I think he will be shown up a bit by Rubens in his first season. If the Williams is another average car, I expect Rubens to just pull in points now and again but nothing special.

∙ Renault F1 Team - Robert Kubica vs ?
Don't know who will pair Kubica until tomorrow but I'm guessing it will be a GP2 (or similar) driver. I think if Renault can get a half decent car this year, he will do an Alonso and out drive it.

∙ Force India F1 Team-Mercedes - Adrian Sutil vs Vitantonio Liuzzi
Don't rather either that high but would guess Sutil will get more points than the playboy.

∙ Scuderia Toro Rosso-Ferrari - Sebastien Buemi vs Jaime Alguersuari
As above but with Buemi a bit ahead.

∙ Lotus-Cosworth - Jarno Trulli vs Heikki Kovalainen
Battle of the #2 Sunday drivers, which will send me to sleep first? Trulli for better qually, Kovalainen probably more points in the race.

∙ Campos-Cosworth - Bruno Senna vs ?
No second driver announced yet but most likely another GP2'er? Interesting to see how well Senna does but hard to compare unless he has a decent team mate.

∙ US F1-Cosworth - Jose Maria Lopez vs ?
I quite like Lopez, I think he will do quite well. As above, no idea if his team mate will be good or not yet.

∙ Virgin Racing-Cosworth - Timo Glock vs Lucas di Grassi
Glock should beat Grassi with his experience but you never know.

∙ BMW Sauber - Kamui Kobayashi vs Pedro de la Rosa
F1's most aggressive vs old man. Hopefully Kobayashi will wake Pedro up a bit so he doesn't fall asleep during the race.

Your thoughts...?

∙ McLaren - Jenson Button vs Lewis Hamilton

Jenson was obviously more at ease than Lewis. This is no surprise. After all, whose name and number was on the car? ;)

∙ Mercedes - Nico Rosberg vs Michael Schumacher

I really, really hope Schumacher does well this year, just to spite all the naysayers and ****s that fixate on his less-than-sporting moments rather than his prodigious talent.

∙ Red Bull Racing-Renault - Sebastian Vettel vs Mark Webber

Here's to hoping Webber gets closer to Vettel over the course of the season this year. He got the short straw with reliability last year at the wrong time, and made far fewer mistakes overall than Vettel (Monaco being a prime example of how Vettel isn't quite the complete article just yet).

∙ Scuderia Ferrari - Felipe Massa vs Fernando Alonso

I really hope Massa is fixed after the Hungary business. If he still has the speed he had before, then Alonso will face a challenge. If he's lost half a second, then he's going to get monstered.

∙ Williams-Cosworth - Rubens Barrichello vs Nico Hulkenberg

Hulkenburg is going to get whupped.

∙ Renault F1 Team - Robert Kubica vs ?

Bad, bad, bad career move for Kubica. Mind, he should be okay if he somehow transgresses and gets hauled up in front of the stewards....

∙ Force India F1 Team-Mercedes - Adrian Sutil vs Vitantonio Liuzzi

Sutil will get the majority of the points I would think.

∙ Scuderia Toro Rosso-Ferrari - Sebastien Buemi vs Jaime Alguersuari

Buemi will get a few points, Alguersuari will get none.

∙ Lotus-Cosworth - Jarno Trulli vs Heikki Kovalainen

No feelings either way on this pairing. That's how dull it is.

∙ Campos-Cosworth - Bruno Senna vs ?

I'm really excited to see the Senna name back in F1. Pity it's with Campos, but can't have it all. Hopefully the car won't be too much of a tail-end charlie and Bruno will get a chance with a top team.

∙ US F1-Cosworth - Jose Maria Lopez vs ?

I really hope US F1's drivers do well. Lopez has talent, if they can find another driver who rn with him then US F1 should have a decent opening season.

∙ Virgin Racing-Cosworth - Timo Glock vs Lucas di Grassi

I like Glock, and I like Branson, so I hope they have a good year together. Don't really have any opinion on di Grassi.

∙ BMW Sauber - Kamui Kobayashi vs Pedro de la Rosa

Pedro should get whupped as badly as Hulkenburg hopefully.
