the thing is it's not a tablet PC, tablet pc's have a full OS on them. Hard to use, bulky and generally rubbish battery life.
Nah, don't agree, the modern ones are actually pretty good - I used them at my last job and were similar to the iPad. Plus they could multitask and had similar battery life to the top laptops, the lesser models a lot longer. You're thinking of the initial release models from 8 years ago or so.
Apple have just refined an old idea with the latest technology and their user friendly apps, marketing grunt and software, but that's what they do best. They are a cool brand in the eyes of many and have that "must have" factor. I do think their hardware is overpriced but that's what gives them an exclusive upper market and quality brand recognition.
They are nice bits of kit - I think however you'll see some more reasonably priced PC tablets re-emerging in popularity if it's a big success.
