F1/Motorsport Statistical Datasets?

Does anyone know if/where I could get some freely available large data sets related to F1 or other Motorsport series in general?

I'm thinking stuff like race stats for every race over a season/number of seasons. Driver stats, points, teams, etc. Anything really.

Its for work and use within visualizations. Other freely available data sets that we have used are Road Traffic stats of every RTA in the UK over the last few years, weather stats for the UK over the last few years, etc.

The data would need to be bottom level stats data at the lowest level of detail, rather than any sort of pre-compiled aggregations or analysis.

I did have a look for something like this a few years ago. There's nothing I found that offers just the raw data in a format which you can put in to a database to query as you requrie. F1Fanatic and FORIX have the data in a viewable format (with the latter being subscription based, but offering comprehensive data for a lot of different motorsports) but don't give you the raw stats.

The conclusion I came to was that if you need this you'd need to scrape the data from someone else.
