I played the Demo last night and I'm undecided, looked OK, I'm not sure if it's because the tracks are bigger than normal but it seemed slow and not as hectic as other Karting games.. I'll have another play tonight
Indeed, but nothing has ever come close to Mario Kart.
I'll give this a play tonight and see what I think.

Downloaded the demo last night, had a bash of it then promptly deleted it.

Am I being stupid or is the demo not on Xbox yet? I can find a couple of trailers and some random thing I can rate or pin, but no actual demo?
Or is it Gold only?
Edit: seems it is gold only. Is it on PSN yet?
It's on PSN I downloaded it on PS3 and Xbox to compare last night

tried it on 360, me and the wife both love the demo. looking forward to the full game.I can finally talk about what game I've been working on the past 7 or 8 months!

I'm not convinced. Its good, but not as good as Mario Kart
I see it as a good opportunity to get your kid's into Formula one if you're into it yourself.
Gave this another go, on the 360 this time, and still thought it awful.
No sense of speed (err.. it's F1 themed karting?), dull powerups and characters that look nothing like who they should. Massa looks more like Ayrton Senna.
I also found it impossible to powerslide around corners, is it not a quick tap of brake etc. like every other game of this type?

I thought the characters were great.
But everything else you say is exactly what I thought. The powerups were a red thing, a blue thing, some balloons, a purple thing, and a boost. No explaination as to what they do and they all seemed similar.
And the powerslide thing really bugged me. I end up going wide on the tighter corners as I deperately tap the brake trying to get a slide going.

And it also looks like half the game has been removed so they can drain players wallets with DLC.

This is my biggest fear with gaming. DLC was fine initially for extra tracks, maps and game types etc but all this in app purchasing and facebook games that cost a fortune seem to be so popular now you can see the way it's heading. Games with one pistol and everything has to be bought additional

Had this pre-ordered for £17.99 but it's not sounding promising, I absolutely loath DLC and IAP
I agree with most of the guys in this post, I tried it on Steam and found it below average too.
It ticks the good graphics box for me but gameplay wise it will always be compared to Mario Kart and sadly this title doesn't come remotely close.
And oh yeah you just know this title is going to be DLC ridden.
