Ferrari have said they are bringing a major aero update this test. Merc seem to be adding things and changing things as well at quite a rate..all systems go!

True pace or FI wanting media attention?

Well it was on super softs and 2 seconds off Rosberg's time last week, so it's not exactly going to be grabbing anyone's attention.

Other than out right lap times similar to Rosberg's last week I would look at long run consistency. Either way, Mercedes are looking very handy.

Still yet to see proper race sims from the other teams.

.

Higher temps though today (by quite a margin) from what the BBC said earlier I thought, so last week's times were good for then, but not today surely?

Can only really compare all today's times as aone off (unless the rest of this week is similar of course)

Here's some more from CRAIG SCARBOROUGH, this time on the aero sensors being used on the McLaren.

"McLaren has been working on its aero programme during the first day of the test.

"The MP4-29 is set up with pods on the rear wing endplates. These house the electronics for a series of pressure sensors mounted around the back of the car.

"Unexpectedly, the sensors emanating from the pod are not fitted to the rear wing, but down around the floor and diffuser. Another bundle of sensors is routed inside the rear brake ducts."

I never thought that Mercedes would be so far ahead of the other teams and progressing even more as the test goes on :o

I hope they get it right this year and start to win some races.

They're going to be unstoppable in the first few races. Lewis Hamilton is 2/1 to win, Rosberg 6/1, Vettel 8/1.

Only thing that can stop them is a mechanical problem but they've been the most reliable too.

Pit stops could be a problem. The big guy that raised the front last year was very slow to get out of the way.
Lewis nearly ran him over a few times :D

From Autosport

Rosberg (Mercedes) 71
Magnussen (McLaren) 64
Bottas (Williams) 64
Kvyat (Toro Rosso) 56
Perez (Force India) 50
Ricciardo (Red Bull) 32
Maldonado (Lotus) 31
Sutil (Sauber) 31
Raikkonen (Ferrari) 25
Chilton (Marussia) 24
Kobayashi (Caterham) 12

And Chilton is 6th fastest :D

I really want Hamilton to win it this year, I think he deserves a second championship tbh, especially after being screwed over by the team in 2012. However I will be happy if anyone beats Vettel.
