The race simulation also doesn't account for traffic which there is significantly less of during testing and won't hold you up unlike racing conditions, never mind yellow flags.

imo they should just accept that motor racing is dangerous.

Yes we should mitigate risks such as recovery vehicles resulting in Bianchi's death.

But changing the roots of F1 and open cockpit racing I'm not a fan of.
