Nice pics, I like the last one best purely because it's something that you don't normally see. No offense intended, and this isn't directed at you anyways, but I find Silverstone testing pictures as dull as dishwater, and I'm a diehard fan of the sport. It's just the public don't get much access and often pictures are pretty unoriginal. So I like the last one best!

By the way, the pictures will really pop with a bit of post processing :

Nice photo's, mine will be up later...I do agree with Samiad very much though, Silverstone has got to be one of the hardest places to get decent photo's anywhere.

i totally agree with that as well, struggles all day tbh, took about 360 in total and had about 20 keepers :o

nice shots antc

did you manage to get right up to the fences?

unfortunatly not :(

although being 6ft 4ish helps to see over them :) managed to get some of my shots through a few strands of wire at the top of the fences. was working fine all day until after lunch when me and howell80 encountered over zealous security making people move away from the "high" mesh fences and 5 yards back behind the metal rails. bit over the top if you ask me.

really enjoyed it though, would recomend it to anyone who has never heard the cars like myself before yesterday. and the speed at which they move, well you gotta see it to believe it!!!

thanks for all the comments so far guys really cheered me up tbh, i was a little worried when looking through the shots that i had come away with not many good ones, chucked about 250 away unfortunately, these are best of the bunch.

I went today, being 5'9" the fence was a right pain! I managed to fit my lens through the holes to get some alright photos, but there was no room for a panning movement. I tried some panning shots on tiptoes over the top, but they didn't come out great.

I bumped into Zheka a couple of times while I was there, but didn't see anyone else.

I was amazed by the speed/noise of the cars, it really isn't conveyed on TV! Luckily we didn't get any nouty security, I spent most of the day in front of the barrier!

I took about 350 shots in the day, and I've got maybe 20 I'm pleased with. Was my first attempt at motorsport though, so I'm not too disappointed. I'll post my photos when I've sorted them out.
