Hi all,

I'm looking to plan a trip to Spa this year to watch the F1 so i've been looking for a company that supplies an all in

one package i.e. flights, accommodation, transfers to and from the track and tickets.

After my initial searching i've found a lot of companies that offer this service with hugely varying prices (and some dodgy looking websites!).

Has anybody used or planning to use a company that they can recommend?

This will be my first race abroad so would prefer the all in one package just to make it easy.

Thank you

A lot of companies will do a package that excludes tickets, and then you buy tickets separately.

What kind of trip are you planning? Camping, hotel, week long, just 3 days, driving, train, bus, etc? Quite a few of us on here have done foreign GPs (a lot at Spa) so we should be able to help.

That might be useful, I think the tickets are the easiest things to find.

We're thinking of hotel for just the Friday until the Monday. Preferably flying from the north west so either Manchester or Liverpool even though East Midlands is another option. Would mind using the train either if it's easy enough. Basically I would prefer it to be as stress free as possible for my first time.

I was hoping that a lot of people off here have done a Spa trip so any help/advice would be appreciated.

You can get the Eurostar as far as Brussels, and then the train from their to Liege (about 20 miles from Spa).

Not taking a car limits you to needing companies that do transfers, as Spa is quite litterally in the middle of nowhere.

The sort of companies that do packages will probably not fly to Spa, they will uses busses. Might be a bit cramped, but it will at least just be simple.

Thanks for the advice Skeeter.

Have you driven over there? I don't mind driving but think it'll be a long journey from the north west in a 182!

I just assumed flying would be easier but i'm not really to fussed about the travelling i'm more concerned about getting to the track and back every day.

Do you have any recommendations for companies or even places to stay?

I've done Spa 3 times. Once in a motor home, once driving and staying in an uber cheap hotel, and once driving and camping near the track with mates. The drive is easy (mostly motorway/dual carridgeway) but boring. Its going to take you a day from the North West.

I haven't stayed in a proper hotel, but other members of my family have. Liege is a nice place to stay. Its close enough that you can drive to and from the track, but far enough out for prices to not be silly.

I've not done a package trip, but others on here have, so should be able to help.

Of the 3 times I did it, the best was when I camped near the track at a managed site that had a bar and hot food and hot showers, and then we took 2 days to drive back stopping in Brussels for a night out.
