f1 tickets

No you can't, for as long as I can remember this has been a popular but completely inaccurate statement.

depends where you live... i can fly to Europe for the same as petrol costs to the british GP , and then tickets in Europe are slightly cheaper

plus the other european races are atleast 10x less scummy than the british one

I wouldn't call the British GP scummy, its just full of boring anoraks. Imola must be the best ever venue I've been to, I used to love going there.

I live about 10-15 mins from Heathrow and I've yet to find a GP that is cheaper for me to go to than the British GP, by a long stretch. But I guess if you are really far from Silverstone and next to an international airport it might work out cheap, but for the majority of Britain the British GP is easily the cheapest option.

I managed a Monza GP for less than it would have cost me to do Silverstone (in a decent position).

Its not really comparable. General Admission at Spa is great, whereas as Silverstone theres hardly anywhere left so you need a grandstand, which naturally costs more.

All the European GPs are pretty comparable for price.

As for Silverstone, there are still tickets available, but my recommendation would be to get a grandstand.

Yeah that's pretty much the point. To get to see anything half decent at Silverstone costs a fair whack. The same is not true of a lot of the European GP's where you can get a good view with GA tickets.

That's rubbish, if you ask me, I've done the exact same thing last two years running and both times I've seen people sit next to me at 7-8-9am. heh

Thats because for the last few years most people have been buying GA tickets.

When I went first time in 2005, there was only a single grandstand from the exit of Becketts all the way round to the entrance of Abbey. The banking around club was rammed full by 6am.
