F1 - where to learn more?

The F1 race threads on here tbh. Keep watching and take part in the threads, Don't be scared to ask some questions when you don't understand something. Some of the lads on here have a unreal bordering on scary amount of knowledge on the subject lol. :D

Official F1 Website go to Inside F1 which has all the rules and regulations :p and some of the basic ideas explained.

Otherwise, just keep watching the BBC coverage pre and post race as lots of details are covered and explained well.

What ZG002 said. Some of the guys on here have a fanatical amount of knowledge regarding the sport even the more obscure parts and they are always more than willing to explain stuff when people get stuck. :D

I've been watching the races recently and now want to expand my knowledge/understanding of the sport. Where would be a good place to start?
Are you interested in F1 at present or the history of the sport?

For present day stuff the sources are pretty much as already stated. For history then the Autosport forums are good or if you want something hard copy then the Autocourse books are where it's at although they get pricey for anything pre-2000 and pre-1980 is just extortionate.

Brilliant. Thanks for the links and replies so far. Will be looking in to those.

Certainly the more present day stuff to begin with. I want to learn more about what's going on now (the drivers, the tracks, the technology, etc etc) and then go from there.

I have 98, 99 and 2000 at home - started reading the 98 one again the other day, left it on my bedroom floor when I fell asleep and my cat decided to relieve himself all over it.
